The 2011 Annual Banquet !

Saturday, April 16
Quail Creek Golf & Country Club
3501 Quail Creek Road

Registration Begins at 11:30 a.m.     
Luncheon to be served at 12:00 Noon


Menu: Club House Salad with Club Specialty Dressing,Roasted Chicken Breast Broiled & Seasoned, Vegetable du Jour, Chef Selection of Starch, Hot Rolls with Butter, Coffee, Iced Tea, and finishing with New York Style Cheesecake.     The cost is $16 inclusive

One hundred fifty years ago at 4:30 A.M. on April 12, 1861, 43 Confederate guns in a ring around Fort Sumter, South Carolina, began the bombardment that initiated the bloodiest war in American history.  Paul Quillin will share stories about the Civil War from the Confederate view at the 1889er Society luncheon.  Make your reservation now and plan to attend.

Also…. Bring some old photos of yourself and we’ll have a “Guess who?” contest.

Who: Bob Howard presents an exclusive showing of the Video from the Airport Exhibit, including scenes from the Oklahoma Historical Society, The Sam Noble Museum of Natural History, the Cities of Guthrie and Ardmore, The History of the Cherokee Strip, and others.

The Annual Banquet is our big event of the year. People bring grand parents, great-grand children, and everyone in between. It is often the only time we get to see people from outside of Oklahoma City.

A Magical 2007 Banquet at the Oklahoma History Center ! - April 6 Print E-mail

The 2006 Banquet was on a special day -- April 22 -- Land Run Day. Our special guest speaker was Dan Provo, Director of the Oklahoma Museum of History and Manager of the Oklahoma History Center.
